The prototype shelter at Avera McKennan Hospital’s St. Isidore Centennial Garden was constructed as AfH Sioux Falls Chapter's second annual community service project integrating hands on learning, sustainable building concepts, and community stewardship for local volunteers.
The shelter serves the local urban agriculture community, providing a place to gather, share information, provide storage, and demonstrate sustainable building techniques.
